Shows how busy I've been, looks like we might be getting Animax. They have launched yet another VoD anime service and from all accounts have caused some Crunchyroll titles to go region locked.

I await the usual anime fan 'yay anime on TV!!!! XD' etc.. shortly followed by 'I don't like <insert from list> about <channel>' with the complaints ranging from adverts, timing, repeats, framerate conversions, 'upscaling', incorrect subs and basically anything which can justify them sticking to fansubs :) Me?? Cynical?? :ugeek:

Well that's the Sony Movie Channel anime block booked up for the foreseeable future. Starting next Monday night they're showing Bleach from the beginning. Looks like 4 episodes a night though don't know how many they'll be showing

Typical, I've binned off Sky. I guess I can catch up when I use Now TV to binge Game of Thrones.

Pretty old stuff, getting on for twenty years or more some of that.

They're also showing movies on Tuesdays at 9pm like Perfect Blue and this week is Patema Inverted, which I don't think I heard of before. But looks like it's from the director of Time of Eve

The Fullmetal Alchemist live action movie is debuting on netflix on February 19th.
Hopefully it's better than the Death Note movie.
Haven't watched their Devilman series

10 odd years after 1 of the anime versions. However that does seem to be the turnaround for hollywood live action versions as opposed to some "original" films that just happen to heavily borrow from anime.

The trailer for FMA, looks pretty faith and rather FX heavy.

It was grand. It felt like they were told halfway through the movie that it was going to be a single movie which meant they had to wrap things up. Needless to say, there was stuff cut. So if you were looking to see Armstrong, Izumi or Scar, you'll be disappointed. They went with their own ending.
As with anything I've seen or read the source material of, I would like to know what someone who's seeing it fresh thought.
