Really hard one here, when do you sacrifice big box sets for the sake of shelf space? I've had a mega rationalise of my collection and merged most of my 6/7 box singles sets into multi-disc cases. So far I've freed up about 130 new DVD box spaces. But I still have sets like Cowboy beebop, Planetes, Witch hunter robin and Eskaflowne sat taking up space. I just can't bring myself to unbox them! Maybe when I run out of room again.

Things like GiTS and Eva have obviously been left alone, they are sacred! The 7 silver boxes containing the platinum edition of Eva will never be touched :wnw:

Never compromise. Never surrender!

Fortunately not reached my limit yet. Do need to rearrange though.

I've not had to do anything like this yet with DVDs. But if you free'd up 130 slots you must have loads. (I'm scared to count how many I have ). Those new BEEz DVDs that comes with that little bit of paper are a pain to store though.

Not quite DVDs but, with my number of figures reaching the limit of my display case I've had to put a few back in boxes and put them on top of the display case. Can still see them and keeps them dust free :D.

Yeah, those beez cardboard boxes are not that hot.

my collection is about 900 actual discs and about 450 titles. I picked up a lot of series as singles 3-4 years ago and more recently as bundle deals from the likes of ADV and MVM as part of stock clearance sales.

*Jaw drops* Wow that's quite a collection.:wnw:

Mine not that big (certainly a hell of a lot smaller than yours), so I don't really have that problem when it comes to boxsets. CD's on the other hand...

It shocked me when I catalogued them all, it doesn't look that big.

Only got around 120 CDs. I mostly listen to the radio :)

I don't feel so guilty counting my DVDs now after reading that .

Well you own 120 more CDs than me. I've never bought a music CD, and all my old game CDs have been ripped and burned to DVD.

*Jaw drops again* Never bought a CD! Like ever?

I just can't imagine that, but then again I am music obsessed. I've got around 400 or so.
