I played Magic for a bit, but it bored me.

I play Yu-Gi-Oh! however, not competetivly, as no one loves Cambridge.

I played yugioh for years, although the mind-numbingly easy rules and the whole 'people with lots of money win' complex got boring

Ah the stories i have of travelling to regionals

Well yeah that is true.....but with the introduction of tuner and synchro monsters next month, it makes the game interesting...also releasing Stardust Dragon as a tin promo should help beat those Dark Armed Dragon decks....and fuel Synchro-DAD >>

i played years ago. but stopped when they started bring out cards that you could not counter or destroy. (that was just after they made all the cards that let you win in 2 turns.)

did any one ever play the B5 card game, it was fun but you needed 3-6 players.

I used to play, but stopped for three reasons:

1) It was waaaay too expensive.

2) Every time I perfected a deck for a new expansion, the next expansion came out and all of a sudden, my deck would be obsolete in most tournaments. I used onl build a deck for every other expansion that came out, you see, as I played type two, and then when the new expansion came out, I'd adapt my deck to work with the new challenges. (I played white weeners: a soldier deck, for example, in the "Akroma" expansion, whatever it was called, and a kitsune deck and soldier deck for Kamigawa. Those guys are ubeatable, especially when you bring out the fun, rare spells that let them attack without tapping or gives each soldier +2/+2 for each soldier in play)

3) Most of the people I played with were either a) sore losers and bad winners or b) dickheads.

Oh, andother reason was that at one tournament, I'd accidentally written on my list that I had 4 silver knights in both my deck and sideboard, when I actually had 4 white knights in my sideboard. :el: I automatically lost the game I was playing when they discovered this, and when the final cores were being totted up to see who got into the final, I was one game away from top 6. The guy I'd been playing had beaten me to it by one game. And I'd probably have won.

Actually, I really miss the game now. I just wish I could play it for less money and hassle, and I really wish I could use my Akroma soldiers deck or mu Kamigawa bushido deck all the time. People would start out going "you can't do me any damage, what the hell is this", and then by turn 10 I'd have around 20 creatures on the table, my catapult squads would e preventing them from attacking, and killing them if they blocked, they ran in fear of my wing shards, my soldiers wouldn't be tapping, I'd be creating 10 sodier tokens a turn, and then BOOM. Out comes my general: Akroma herself... Immune to black and red damage, flying, haste, first strike, trample, 8/8. I had 3 in my deck. The game would end very quickly then, unless they had something lucky hidden away. Like a wrath of God... Hated those.

this is why i hated the later expansion, in 4th ed a lord of the Pit was as 7/7 flying, trample. but as up keep you had to sacrifice a creator each turn or he tap him self and do you 7 damage. but that was the price to pay for the power he gave you. but i looked up Akroma and there no catch and they cost about the same. lord of the Pit was (4) (3 Skulls)

I remember the B5 & The Doctor Who TCG they brought out never new anyone that played them though.

A few of my friends used to play Magic, I was a ShadowFist player. (If anyone remembers that?) I occasionally get a game of Warcraft TCG. But not for a while though.
