Could this be true? Anyway, if it is, I wonder, will it be a sequel to the movie, or an 'alternate storyline' where they adapt the manga? I hope the latter.

Going by the latest news over on ANN, it seems it's going to be a remake and not a sequel. Oh and apparently there's a trailer.

Last thing I heard it was going to adapt the manga more closely but I can't remember where I read that off the top of my head.

New Fullmetal Alchemist Series?

Yeah sure I really liked the original series. And it supposedly stuck to the storyline of the manga for about half of the series. Does that mean the first half of this new series will be like rewatching the episodes we've already seen?
