UPDATE: The new series of Fullmetal Alchemist will begin in April, more information will be released in the January issue of Monthly Shonen Gangan

Going by the latest news over on ANN, it seems it's going to be a remake and not a sequel. Oh and apparently there's a trailer.

Yeah sure I really liked the original series. And it supposedly stuck to the storyline of the manga for about half of the series. Does that mean the first half of this new series will be like rewatching the episodes we've already seen?
