Bit surprised he has lasted that long. They were very poor against us.

2009/2010 Football Season

Except for Man City doing the stupid thing and sacking Hughes. It's been a good week. :)

I'm loving Villa's form at the moment: Five wins in our last five matches - Pompey in the cup; Hull, Man Utd (HAHAH!), Sunderland and Stoke in the league. But I'm not expecting us to beat Arsenal next week. Yeah, we beat them at their gaff last season and we've got a better squad now, but I just think Arsenal are going to be much better this time around. I'm hoping for a draw, and then we can get the three points off Liverpool.

But, knowing fate, that will be when Liverpool finally find their feet and get back to winning ways - culminating in the top four being taken by the usual suspects. :el: :el:

I really hope not. Nothing against Liverpool, would rather one of the others was struggling, but I want to see someone new in there - either us or Villa preferably.

"...would rather one of the others were struggling..."

I'm going to assume that means Arsenal. :shifty:

Yeah, that should be a pretty good game. Definitely hoping Villa win.

Happy to come away from White Hart Lane with a point. :D
I never look forward to playing at Tottenham (except for last season when Juande Ramos was in charge.)

I'm annoyed that we didn't score again at home, but seems strong defending by Villa.
To be honest, think our teams have blown fourth, but shall see. Cup competitions could help out.

Hope Liverpool don't get it though. Nothing against them, just so crap to see the same old teams.

So what do people think of the draw for the European Championship qualifiers? The relevant groups are:

Group B
Andorra
Armenia
Macedonia
Republic of Ireland
Russia
Slovakia

Group C
Estonia
the Faroe Islands
Italy
Northern Ireland
Serbia
Slovenia

Group G
Bulgaria
England
Montenegro
Switzerland
Wales

Group I
Czech Republic
Liechtenstein
Lithuania
Scotland
Spain

England should be okay,as Bulgaria are useless and the Swiss are no great shakes. Scotland got a bitch of a group. I don't know to make of Ireland's group. Russia could be very tough, we've slipped up against Macedonia before and I've no idea about Slovakia. I know they qualified for the World Cup and Marek Hamsik plays for them but that's about it....

England's group could have some tough, stodgy matches, but should get through it fine.

Republic's group looks good for them I think. Especially if they play like they did in the last qualifiers. Can see them winning their home games, but then that can be the trouble - the top sides bring out the best in them. Same as England.

Other than that, don't see any other british teams making it.

Well I spent my time watching the Spurs game ranting and grinding my teeth. I don't get Redknapp sometimes. Why take Modric off and keep Huddlestone on, and maybe Modric could have taken the penalty. He may have scored!

What Pav has to do to get a game is beyond me, and as much as Bentley has improved, you can see why Lennon is preferred. He runs, he gets the ball in. He doesn't try to beat everyone first.

Villa game was better. Love when Warnock sees such a great injustice. I was amazed the keeper stopped that ball, let alone who it rebounded off.

Never been much of a fan of Craig Bellamy's, but loved his commments after the win.

Also with that haircut Terry looks a big a cock as he acts!
