Yeah should be good, hopefully. I reckon the Germans will get through. I'm not too sure about the Spanish defence.

Isn't that the method for scoring in games like FIFA and Sensible Soccer?

Hhahahaha, yeah you're right. Maybe gamers designed the ball.

Could be battle of the goal scorers with Klose and Villa.

Spain ran that game. Final should be good, and do think the Dutch can get at that dodgy defence. Still, have to fancy Spain.

You dead right saying that Spain ran the game. I was disappointed in Germany, I thought they'd hassle the Spanish and then beat 'em with pace on the counter. Make a better game of it. Still at least there'll definitely be a first time winner now.

In the old FIFA shooting it diagonally was the best way otherwise you'd were never too sure if it was on target or not 'cause of those angled pitches. Damn now I'm getting nostalgic.

Germany did seem a lot more negative and rarely got after Spain.
Do think Holland will test them more.

Watching the final, 90 minutes gone. This match is shite. Full of bad challenges, niggley fouls and yellow cards. I can only think of 4 decent chances during the game so far. At least there'll definitely be some tension come extra time.

Yeah it got more exciting towards the end. Not a great game but Holland did what they had to do I guess. When even Germany got defensive against Spain, you know you have to work hard. Still, those were some nasty fouls.

Better team won. Bit of controversy always helps too. :pop:

So, what are the odds for a Spurs-Arsenal Champions league final?

Well it looks like Spurs are at least keeping up their side of bargain.

So far. Will find out soon if we're going to get any further.
But enjoying the CL so far. Just the PL that needs to get sorted.

On the Shamrock Rovers. :wnw: UEFA Cup group stages. Further than either Celtic or Rangers.

Birmingham City are also in the group stages. Their first European tournament in which they qualified on merit rather than an invitation.

I'm not sure if I would want my team playing 6 more European matches, along with 46 league matches and the cup matches on top of that.

I'd said about Villa that I would rather have a good run in the domestic cups than play in Europe.
If I was a Bluenose, I would sacrifice a one-off Europa League run if it meant a return to the Premier League.

But I probably wouldn't, because I would be a Birmingham fan, so I'd be a total fecking idiot.
A total fecking idiot who smells of shite.
And interferes with dogs.

Villa signed a player from Shamrock Rovers - Enda Stevens - yesterday, but he won't actually join until January.

Good idea for his move - let him play in the Europa League then come over here. But I doubt many who don't live on the Emerald Isle know much about him.

There have been some good Irish players at Villa (Dunne, Given), some great (Staunton, Houghton) and one God-like (McGrath). Maybe Stevens will be another. We'll see, though.
