She was obviously miming. She was overdoing words and it just didn't the sounds. I was stunned that no one commented.
Shame they cheated on a few bits because it was still stunning what they did. Mind you, anyone who has seen Curse of the Golden Flower can see how they achieved such scenes. :pop:

Perhaps I'm a cynical old git, but I always expect these live extravaganzas to cut a few corners and slip in the odd bit of extra snazzy footage to liven things up. It doesn't detract from the fact that ceremony was pretty awesome.

I dunno what it is about the olympics but it makes even pseudo-sports like dressage vaguely entertaining. I'm not a sports fan at all but the size and spectacle of the event always manages to draw me in.

I'll be really interested when they make chess part of the olympics, I read they tried in 1924 but they couldn't distinguish between ameuter and proffesional players. But does that really matter anymore since other sports are using proffesional players too?

Someone asked me what the Brits are strong at in the Olympics, and I have to admit I struggled.
Forgot about the cycling. We rock! :wnw:

Chess is a sport now? Really?

I can't wait for hurling to be made an official Olympic sport. Ireland will rake in the Gold medals!

(It will happen. Maybe not next time, maybe not the time after that, maybe not for the next 200 years, but it will happen.)

Yes, rowing has gone well too. Also not bad at the equestrian stuff. Riding things seem to be the answer for us. Tally ho!

More medals today. We really do rock at cycling. I'm surprised it hasn't been given the hype treatment as we've been one of the dominant forces at it for some time. I only seem to see it on tv when the olympics is on.
Another gold in swimming too. Well done boys and girls!

The world indoor cycling championship does get coverage, but who watches Grandstand any more? :D

The rowing and cycling just show what happens when you actually invest in sport.

You can't even go to sleep now without the buggers winning 4 more golds.

Let's hope they aren't peaking too soon, it would be a pig to be really shit for the London Olympics.

Surely you mean fighting sober?
Oops. Sorry about that. :wnw:

Can't believe how well GB is doing. Third in the table!
Of course, depends on what table. American networks have the table arranged so they're on top.

Err how? Statistics?

Now I definitely think they've peaked 4 years too early.

It's a good job that the cycling etc have done well, seeing as how track and field have sucked massively so far.

Yeah was thinking that abou Irish boxers.

Could imagine the interviews.
"So how often do you train?"
"Every Saturday night! But what's with these glove things?"
