In the US they have the table on how many medals they have overall, so they have 79 right now, and China have 76.

Europe should pool its medals, like the US does. We'd pwn everyone's ass.

Go Irish boxers! GB are going down on Saturday!

The drug problem in Ireland is getting so bad, it seems that even the horses are taking them now.

Opening line of an interview with the jockey about the horse: "After being disqualified, I can understand the long face!" :D :el:

Ireland will get a really bad name for horses now. Two Olympic games in a row we've had someone cheat!

You think Shergar was really sent to rehab and the kidnapping was just a cover up? :D

i'm not suprised that S. Reade keeps crashing she is really careless.

every time she is in the air she does this stupid thing with her front wheel where it sticks to the right
and when comes to a corner and she is in the air she has her bike's nose too high..

I love our rivalry with the Aussies. When the rugby team went down there for the world cup, their media was all over the England team long before it looked like we would meet up.
Rivalry is great in sport. I know it can boil over, but it does give it that extra edge.
That's where countries like the USA miss out, by not playing with the rest of us often they don't get to take part in the fun.

But always good to irritate the Aussies. :el:

Well it turns out that the Ireland v GB in boxing was a one all draw. Kenny Egan getting into the final and Sutherland losing.

Thats 3 medals won out of the 5 boxers that we sent over. Not bad.
