Hmm.. the Beez Durarara DVDs seem to be rather poor. Only watched the first vol but the subs look like they were done by a 10 year old and there is something odd about the background sound. It sounds like the audio is really badly quantised.

I know the DVD subtitle spec is limited but you can use ALL of the screen and you do have a choice of more than just WHITE. And when someone is speaking in the background DON'T sub them in preference to the person in the foreground.

Have to say the sound and subs quality is better on CR. T'is a sad day.

I would have hoped for a lot better from Beez. I'd expect better than this from Manga ent!

Oh and the Dokuro-chan reference was funny :)

After the mess that was the 1st 2 volumes of Gurren Lagann, I'd not be surprised either way.
