I know to some of you this may be considered sacrilege, but there's a few (very few) DVDs that I'd like to shift.

Where's the best place to sell them now? I've been disenchanted with ebay for quite some time.

How about somewhere like cex? You can find how much they'd buy them for on their website.

Or you looking for somewhere you can sell to people yourself?

You could try selling them on play.com. I buy stuff from their playtrade sellers all the time.

Hmm, Cex has a branch near me.

I've never tried playtrade, what are they like?

From the perspective of the buyer I've never had a problem (I've bought 60-odd rare Playstation 2 games from them over the past year, plus my R1 Kanon DVD's), but I've never sold anything.

There are thousands of Playtrade sellers on the site though, so there seems to be a good racket going on.

Well I found http://www.musicmagpie.co.uk/, which I will try for most of them, but a few were worth more at Cex.

The magpie ones will go straight in the post, as they supply a label for free postage and the Cex ones will wait until I'm going their way as it wouldn't be worth the fuel to make a special journey.

The good news is a couple of the disc will sell for more than I brought them for. :) Mind you I brought them for bugger all.

Was looking at that Magpie site and was left wondering what they do with the cds and dvds. They don't seem to say, but the fact they want everything in perfect condition including booklets/inserts means they plan to sell them on somewhere.

Did you just give a few first and the rest later if they do what they say? Or did you hear reviews of them already.

I googled "magpie problems" and checked a few review sites too. It didn't ring any massive alarm bells so I thought I'd give it a go.

You do need to be patient as far as I can tell. The post can be 2 weeks each way.

It's not like any of it is worth a fortune.

Just popped into Cex and got rid of the last few DVDs.

Cloverfield £0.90
Scream 2 £0.80 I've had this 10 years or more. :D
Black Lagoon: 2nd Barrage 1 £1.60
Black Lagoon: 3 £3 .01 profit

Spent the lot on a BD version of Moon, so ended up spending £4.70 >.<
