Darn, one of my R1 DVDs had the trailer for Lucky Star... now I'm in a state of
Image

Do I:
Hunt down the R1s
Hunt down as many R1 LEs as I can
Wait for an R1 box
Wait for an R2 release

I've resisted so far...

ARGH!! From UP1 the LEs come to £160

From the US its about $160 before shipping and duty.

The singles alone are just shy of £100...

No, must resists! Must wait for thinpack box set! Don't need CDs I'll never unpack and t-shirts that are far far far too small for me! :el:

Couldn't you just get someone in the u.s. to buy it for you and ship it to you for cheaper?

Why not just buy the volume 1 special edition (the box is rather good), and then get the rest of the singles. You will probably never see a U.K. release and the Anime Legends set is going to be a while off yet. Oh and try buying from playUSA.com, they are a hell of a lot cheaper than up1 for most of their items, and as long as each item is under £18 there is no problems with customs.

Or you could just go buy a funny series instead.

I'm going to wait for (hope for) a boxset. On amazon.co.uk normal seem to be ~£11 each (apart from vol 4, wonder why it's so expensive) and LE ~£20. Similar prices on Play.com, but again Vol 4 seems to be elusive.

This.

Buy Genshiken. It's like Lucky Star if Lucky Star had anything resembling a soul.

*adds to the list*

I know there is a lot better than Lucky Star, doesn't stop me wanting to watch it.

Hmm.. why do most places list Genshiken series 2 DVDs as cancelled??

The volume 1 with art box was cancelled, and if I recall correctly volume 1 was also delayed from it's original release date, up1 and a few others now have it in stock. I love Genshiken, but I don't love the fact that I have to buy Kujibiki Unbalance to watch the OVAs.

Necro bumping.

I've been looking around (link was here, but it gets stuck in a loop when clicked on, so just google DVD Pacific) DVD Pacific, and saw a release date for Lucky Star 6 Disc collection. And it looks to be official, since there is "anime legends" cover art on mania.com.

SRP: $49.98
Release Date: 4/6/10

Contains all 24 episodes!
DVD Extras: Key Scenes Galleries / Textless Opening w/ Lyrics / Promo Clip / The Adventures of Minoru Shiraishi
