Time of Eve

#1 Post by kodama » Sun Sep 28, 2008 10:13 pm

Following on from this report on ANN:

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-09-23/crunchyroll-to-premiere-time-of-eve-in-english/french

The first part of Time of Eve is already be on Crunchyroll and it's great (Oh god, I've finally succumbed and gone fanboy).

It's got androids in it and stuff >.< Love the animation style, well apart from the occasional Paul Greengrass seasick camera moments. Only 15 minutes long and only 6 parts

Looks interesting!

I might have to put aside my deep seated dislike of crappy streaming sites and watch it.

It is, watch it. Fun too.

That's my only misgiving, I don't like having to check on ANN or elsewhere first to make sure it's legit.

I'm damned if I going to watch any ripoffs on that site.

Just a little taster.

Not enough frames for me to complete the loop though

I saw it a few days ago, enjoyed it very much.
Apparently it'll be a long wait until part two comes out though...
BTW, everything in the 'Featured Media' box is legit, they also have Gatchaman (aka Battle of the Planets) on there.

Hopefully it should be around 1st or 2nd of Oct. That's when they said the 1st and 2nd ep were being released.

I think you're right about the featured media box, but that's not everything that is legit. ADV has more than what's listed there.

EDIT: 2nd should be out in the next few days. Sadly, it's only being released an ep every 2 months. >.<

I've held off as long as I can. :shaking:

Has anybody else watched 1+2 yet, did they enjoy it or am I on my own as usual :P

No, you're not the only one. I just saw 1 and 2 and liked it.

I see what you mean with the Paul Greengrass camera work. I really like the fact that it referenced Blade Runner in the 2nd part, considering that it’s similar with androids acting like humans.

Ep 3 is now streaming and it's great again. Sadly there seems to be a production hitch, ep 4 has been put back, possibly to April 09

It still has the heart, humour and classy animation of the 1st two parts. :D

Finally got around to seeing the third episode. It's annoying that the episodes are so spaced apart when they're so short.

Kodama, maybe if you post a picture of Rina from the this episode it might entice some people to watch it.

Why do I have to do your dirty work?

Humph, it was such a chore 8)

I think I preferred the 2 month wait to the 6 month one

Never watched this yet but I watched that NHK channel the last night and saw the interview with the writer/director of Time of Eve and Pale Cocoon. His other one, Mizu no Kotoba, actually sounds pretty interesting as well.
