I've been debating whether or not to buy that for months: on one hand yes it's a pivotal series and at that price is an absolute steal but... it's not really a proper Anime is it?

Frankly I just wish ADV would release the recently re-dubbed and re-mastered SDF Macross over here, now that I want.

Gunslinger Girl Complete Box Set is down to £15.48 on Amazon. Well worth it at that price.

Was in HMV today and they had a few anime titles on the bargain shelf. Cowboy Bebop the movie was £5 and Excel Saga Vol 4, 5 and I think 6 were £3 each. Didn't see the other volumes though
Ebenezer Scrooge was a weak minded lightweight.

Just got Vexille from HMV for £3. I know I could have saved a penny if I'd brought online

Not so much of a bargain seeing as both sets that play.com have sent have had a faulty disc two. Oh well, see if I can find a r1 or r4 set cheap at some point.

Every episode on the second disc suffers from a stuttering or jumping of the image, which happens for a split second at a time, but a countless points. It's not so bad on the second episode seeing as the episode has a fairly slow pace when it comes to the animation, but with the other two episodes it gets very distracting. The PC DVD drive copes a bit better but displays a lot of blocking at the same points. Both sets had the faults at the same points.

Shame really as 'fucking kouhei' in Japanese was worth the price of the set.

Weird, had nothing like that. I'd soon been moaning if it had. I'll spin up my copy tonight and check again.

A good time index to check would be 14.00 to 15.00 of episode 5, and the opening sequences for 6 and 7. But if you've not noticed it then you've either got a player which copes a hell of lot better than mine, or a disc from a fault free batch.
