Some threads are worth reviving.

I saw Steamboy in my local HMV for £6.

I saw Ulysses 31 entire box set for £9.99 on play.com. Have it!
Loads of bargains on there.

I got an email from Amazon today saying anime at low prices. Cowboy Bebop movie is £3.98

Here's a link to the anime section
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/browse.html/ ... de=3336941

Ireland can't take advantage of the free delivery when over a certain price so we have to pay per dvd.

It seems that most of the sites I get my anime bargains from are downsizing thei anime sections but I did find some, nice deals:

This ugly yet beautiful world box set £16 pre order
http://www.sendit.com/sendit/9980334.product

Yugo the negotiator box set £13 pre order
http://www.sendit.com/sendit/9980335.product

Coyote Ragtime Show box set £17 pre order
http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/-/37/51/-/5 ... type=genre

And Anime-On-Line is still having their sale, been going for about a year

You think that's bad, I spent £180 collecting all eight volumes of Evangelion. A few months after I'd finished they started releasing the Platinum editions.

I'm sure all the more committed anime sorts will already know about this site.

http://www.find-dvd.co.uk/

It's seems to pretty damn good to me. It seems to do everything.

Yeah think I mentioned that over at RAC. I always use it. I haven't tried all the companies it lists. In some cases the companies seem to have free postage to UK only or they only deliver to UK.

Again, I declare shenanigans!

Well Ireland does insist on being a separate country :shifty:

Join the UK and then you too can have free postage. (high taxes, collapsing healthcare, recession, banking disasters.)

That's a handy place. Interesting competition too. Although the whole 'they take the rights to reviews' seems a bit tyrannical.

We have all those by ourselves, thanks. So we have all you have without the benefit of free postage. :P

And not anime, but to tie in they also have find cd and find games sites as well.

Goddam those jammy bastards!

http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/catalogmgr/rHiV=pixw6SiH5i6ru/browse/item/76659/4/0/0

If anyone sees MSN or Akira going for a sensible (CHEAP) price tell me please.

I've seen MSN in Otaku for £32, but I can't justify that during the credit crisis 8)

Also which version of Akira is decent?

That Nadesico Collection is £28 on up1.co.uk, it's also $28.49 on DVDPacific, although slightly more expensive than the price of Rightstuf you should take into account that Rightstuf are far more expensive when it comes to shipping.

All American releases of Akira are OOP due to the demise of Geneon, so you will be paying either full or over the retail price of any R1 (go for the DTS release if you can find it), if not the only other option is Manga UK's release which is £8 at the moment (minus 4% quidco if you use that)
