Upcoming Wii games

Was just looking at a preview reel of upcoming games and it's disturbing how many rhythm games there are coming out. And there's even a Haruhi game in there about 30 secs in

Well, I had to see it to believe it, and I saw it and believed it.

Sadly, I'm not one to import games. :(

Ah bless the wee and their Shovel Ware... They get a sniff of the whole "rhythm games are kinda fun" and just go mental with releasing more and more guff. Shame really Nintendo had such promise.

Why do you not import Roostophe, there are some real gems out there!

Meh, a bit too much hassle. I've just never bothered. I own a total of about 250-400 games* on various consoles, and every one of them is a European PAL version.

Unless it's all changed, and all you need to do to play is with a Freeloader disc-thingummyjig like when I borrowed a mate's US copy of Animal Crossing 'bout 5-and-a-half years past.

I'm sure that, back in the day, to be able to play Japanese/American games on a European console, you needed a chipped console or summink. Is it different now?

*I really don't know how many games I have. Never counted. Have loads of time, though, so I might do that one day.

Playing import games on the Wii is relatively simple now. There are a few methods to do so but considering it's all homebrew stuff the compatibility rate wavers a bit. Things are being updated all the time mind, so things aren't too bad. Best of all, it's free to do.

Looks like a pretty good line up to me. No real sign of any awful shovelware to speak of either. Although quite a few of the games on there I really want possibly won't get a release over here. As long as Sin and Punishment 2 gets a release I'm okay though.

Sin and Punishment 2 gets loves and kisses from me.

Woohoo!

Also find it funny that a machine that has been constantly crticised for not having many games for adults to play now has a game that the Daily Mail has advertised as the "most violent video game ever" :D

Of course what the article fails to mention is that the BBFC don't give 2 hoots about the gameplay, they are just interested in the pre-recorded video content.

Well it is a fun game and the violence is so over the top that I don't know why any kind of fuss would be made.
