Let's not go crazy with the soggy dog girl pics. There are plenty of lovely visual novels too.

The other part that goes with Enki's pic goes perfectly well with my opinion on cat-girls and cat-dogs.

"DOWN WITH THIS SORT OF THING!"

So this is the level of offensiveness that we have to reach to persuade Enki to post

Personally I'm not offended by it, but I should uphold the law every now and then. Don'tcha think? 8)

I do agree with Howard on the 'mysterious fluid' too. It doesn't have the correct colour, sheen and magical twinkle to it for my liking!

The same can be said for those dear, ol' puppy pics I'd imagine.

I'm kind of disappointed that Wanko to Kurasou doesn't seem to work on a Vista setup. Well, either that or it does with a little bit of tinkering... far too much for me to try late in the evening though.

Hum, I did have a visual novel that I was playing through but I can't quite remember what it is right now. I'll have to look it up and post later.

It works, but first you have to open any video or music file with a media player, pause it and then run the .exe file.
Ah the joys of using Vista.

The Only VN I've played is Tsukihime

Haven't gone through all the routes but it's pretty good.

Completed the Clannad game. Funking awesome and, like the anime, made my eyes leak. Although it was one solitary tear rather than a full-blown sobfest I once had after watching the anime. (Is not ashamed.)

I wonder if I can get the spin-off game, although that one is actually an eroge. So I'm a bit "Oo-er, missus." about that... :o

I know someone who is playing Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni. He says it's pretty good. Maybe I'll give that a shufty at some point. :)

That VN (Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni) has been licensed by MangaGamer and they have begun translating it. They say "the end of October" is when it will be released. The anime is quite brutal from what I've heard (I hope to import the boxset which is out the 25th of this month). And people say the anime pales in comparison to the VN.

Also from MangaGamer, Suffle! will be released this month! I'll be buying.

There's also a rumor they have aquired Koihime Musou. Which would just be awesome if they have.

Shuffle! has been released today (well, last night). You can get it from "MangaGamer" now for 36.95€ as a digital download.

However I'll warn you now, if you are running AVG it will detect the installer as a "Win32/Themida" infection. This is a false positive, but you'll need to add it to your exception list in order to run the app. The game will also only install under a 32 bit environment.

So just now I'm waiting for the false positive to be fixed before transferring over to my 32 bit machine.

From some reviews people are saying the translation is "decent", meaning for the most part it is true to the source material and in understandable English. Also all CGs are uncensored, and the original voice actors have been used.

Shuffle the game came 1st didn't (ooer missus), so strictly speaking they would be the original VAs either way.

By original VAs I meant they used the original from the Japan release. (Some VN English releases have no sound or it's been changed in some way).

Anyway I didn't want to post about that :P.

MangaGamer have put up 3 free trials to download: Da Capo, Suika A.S+ & KIRAKIRA. So if you've wanted to try a VN but not been sure about having to buy one in full, now's your chance.
