Well for the one or 2 people here that are interested in comics, decided to create this thread.

My pull list currently just includes:
The Green Lantern books
Jonah Hex
Booster Gold
X factor
The Flash
Flashpoint

More of a DC and Geoff Johns fan. Out of all the Marvel books I used to get, X Factor was the only one worth continuing, in my opinion.

And as for the big news at the moment: DC Rebooting the entire DC Universe with 52 Number 1s out in September. Judging by the list, I may go with Justice League, since it's by Geoff and will try the GL Books.

Of course I'm still confused as to how much of a reboot it will be considering what's going on with the likes of GL and Batman and all. Seems as though some are continuing as normal while others are changing. Maybe it's just the ones that had no current arc that are being rebooted. Like last I saw Superman, he was going for a walk.

I'm a DC reader too but I usually wait for the collected editions (unless there's a cool one shot or something). I was reading:

Batman & Robin
Secret Six
Power Girl
anything by Greg Rucka
some Paul Cornell stuff

But now with all that Geoff Johns has the DCU as his playground I'll be dropping everything apart from Batwoman, but only 'cause J.H. Williams III is the best artist in the business IMO.

Still it's a good excuse to get into some indie stuff. The new Locke & Key book should be out soon. :D

X Factor? In Marvel? Does Cowell know of this?

What I have are all graphic novels from way back. Lot of 2000AD, with Johnny Alpha, Judge Dredd and Bad Company. Oh and Nemesis the Warlock.

Also a DC fan though and have the Inifite Crisis - including Secret Six early stuff that I liked a lot - and a load of Batman.

I do have a few comics from way back, mainly Transformers but also a couple of the Sleaze Brothers and Death's Head. Loved Death's Head!

Ah, Marvel had the name first. I blame Cowell for all the people who don't read X Factor. :)

Personally I prefer DC but find Marvel events easier to follow. Like with Final Crisis, characters were seemingly coming from nowhere

And for indies, i'm about halfway through Y The Last Man. I want to get to Preacher at some point as well

No idea why I am a DC fan, it isn't a concious decision, I just seem to only have DC comics.
Think the Transformers ones I have are Marvel, but British Marvel. :geek:

I used to get a load more comics like the Spidey and astonishing X Men. Also used to get Batman and Punisher. But when I cut down Booster, Jonah, Lantern and X Factor were the best of the bunch, in my opinion.

For Batman, they did the whole RIP storyline and sure I don't even know what happened in it. I think I stopped not long after that.

Like Captain America dying. Let's kill Batman. But he 's not realy dead, he's just displaced in time.

Let's kill Capatin America. But he's not really dead, he's just displaced in time.

Think Marvel were first though.

Oh as for Punisher, it was the Punisher Max, that I was getting. The one not set in the main Marvel universe which is more violent.

Am I the only one that thought "hmm Judge Dredd" when I saw Black Knight? Well his helmet is pretty similar.

Certainly possible. Judge Dredd meets the Fonz apparently.

Finished Alan Moore's From Hell last night. It's quite different from the film to say the least.

Seems that I've the same taste as Old Git with the old Marvel UK Transformer comics. Unfortunately mine were thrown out as my parents got sick of reading them to me when I was young kid. :(
Thank goodness for reprints. :D

Seems all of Moore's work differs a lot from the films. No wonder he sounds so grumpy.

So the DC Reboot happens tomorrow with Flashpoint #5 and Justice League #1.

Want to see how they keep some characters the same while changing others. Like Batgirl is Babs again yet the Lanterns seem to simply tie into the War of the Green Lanterns.

I never asked, did you get anything from the DC relaunch and if so what did you think of them?

Read Justice League and Batgirl so far. JL was really enjoyable. Nice few lines between Batman and GL. As someone said: Hal has a personailty!
Batgirl hasn't explained why Barbara's back as Batgirl yet. Maybe later.
Still not too sure what Flashpoint did. Though I hear the hooded lady from that 2 page spread of Flashpoint #5 is hidden throughout the 52 #1s. For example she's in the spectators at the match Victor Stone is playing in JL.

You get any or were you reading Flashpoint?
