My 1st reaction is nooooooo!

As is my 2nd, nooooooo!

I was a little disappointed by Mostly Harmless, so why fiddle with it even more?

Have never read the novels. Have only seen the movie and series. Sure I thought only had the 2 - HHGTTG and Restaurant at teh End of the Universe.

But it's been done before with the likes of the LOTR and Hobbit as well as the Bourne novels. Not forgetting novels based on tv series and movies like Buffy or Star Wars.

Bollocks. First of all, Eoin Colfer's own "big" series, Artemis Fowl, has been running long past it's sell by date. Each book has a clear ending with no scope for sequel, and yet, there always is one. That he's being allowed to do the same to this classic trliogy (ok, so there are 5 books. It's still a trilogy) is sinful.

Eoin Colfer is funny but his not Douglas Adams, in fact the only person would could pull it off would be Terry Pratcheet.

Colfer's really needs to make superaturalist 2 if he feels the need to make more dystopic sci-if comedy.

Pratchet is great, but he's not Adams. Their styles are very very different. It would undoubtedly be a great book, but it wouldn't fit in with the rest of the series.

Eoin Colfer is f*cking CHILDREN'S writer! You point out the passages in HHGTTG that are suitable for anyone under 12, or would be appreciated fully by them and I'll give you a gold f*cking medal.

ARGH! Someone stop him!

"how can we milk an existing money spinner without having to do much work?"
"I know! Another HHGTTG book!"

I don't suppose it would help to point out to the new author that the final HHG book ended quite conclusivly....

Nope. Colfer has ended each book in the Artemis Fowl series very conclusively, but he keeps writing...
