It's bonkers. In a good way.

I recognised Jerome Flynn this time, the dark hair and added wrinkles threw me.

Peter Dinklage and Sean Bean were pretty much born for their roles. :)

Can imagine Peter and Jerome doing a new cover of Unchaineed Melody. :) But, yeah Peter's probably one of the best characters in it. Loved his confessions.
Lady Stark's sister and nephew are pretty messed up characters.
So Tonks from the Harry Potter movies is in it now, though I'm probably the only one here who watches them.
Would gold being poured on the head kill like that? Curious that she was able to hold the hot egg. A real dragon.
Anyone here read the books? How's the series comparing?

Or not. Skinning the sausage O.O

Yeah, last week was an eye opener.

Watched the HP 1-6, but going to wait until I can do 7a and b close together.

I think there'd be more fire, but I guess we'll see. That's not the 1st time she hasn't burnt, she got in that scalding bath in the 1st ep.

There are so many good UK and Irish actors in it. The Mayor from the Wire. ;)

Didn't recognise him at first but then saw somewhere online say it was him. First time I saw the Mountain with his visor up, I thought it was Brian Blessed, though younger.

And anyone think Jason Momoa is being typecast?

Not read the books but really enjoying this. It is weird hearing Peter's 'posh English' accent though.

But yeah, a lot of recognisable faces (if not names). Already has a second series I hear, but no idea where they will stop in comparison to the books.

Cor, that was tense. I suppose that it wasn't strictly surprising though.

When someone says "we're behind you" never EVER trust them!

Yeah wasn't surprising but still gripping. Stark needs better men, or maybe they need a smarter leader.

They're not holding back on the gore now.

Charles Dance is rather spiffing as a total bastard of a Father.

Dance is always good. Had no idea he was in this and very glad he is.

Shame about the dancing swordsman, liked him. Glad he kicked some arse though.

They're not shy about killing off characters you like. I liked Stark's chief bodyguard.

Same here. There's a good second level of cast.

They did it again. They done him in.

Joffrey is turning out to be even more bonkers than we'd thought :)

I think my tv thinks I'm angry at it from the swearing I was doing. :)

Did any non book reader see that coming? Good luck trying to top that in the finale. Gonna be repercussions.

One comment I read was someone saying that if they evere see the actor who plays Joffrey in the street, they'll hit him. Just because seeing his face makes them want to hit him. I can see their point. Must be the most intentionally hated character on tv. Hope Arya kills him. Repeatedly.

Tyrion and Bronn were excellent as always. Funny when they needed to be. I liked Bronn's line last week when they were all being introduced as "Son of..". His line "You wouldn't know him!"

And just because it's fun to watch:

I did a bad thing. :(
While back I had a peek at the wiki on the series to find a few things out, and even made sure I didn't read too far, but just as closing the page my eye caught a mention of this. So I had a dread that it was happening. Really spoilt it for myself, but then again I'd have been stunned. No way would have seen that coming.

Looks like Drogo is on his way out too and we've already lost the king. Fair play to this series, it doesn't tease on main deaths and not deliver.

Totally agree on Bronn too.

Been wondering how they were going to do big battles and now we know - they happen off screen.
