I know this polarise people's opinions, but I for one am glad 24 is back.

I enjoyed the 1st two hours even though at one point I nearly screamed

I'm sure it'll be overblown and ridiculous but sometimes that's all you need from your entertainment.

I haven't watched 24 in years. Saw the first two series on the BBC, then it went to Sky and lost track.

But I thought it was great. All shows have their daft moments, it's the thrills that matter in this kind of series.

So did they just show the one double ep, leaving them at least 8 days behind the States, therefore ruining all their big talk of showing it the day after the States?

Yeah they would need another double ep then the next week again to catch up. It started over there last Sunday with a double ep, then on Monday with another double ep. they could've done it here. Like what would they've been replacing? Probably repeats or a film.

I'm happy to have a few double eps, it means the series doesn't go on for nearly 6 months.

Watched the first 2 eps today. And have to ask Is it some sort of equal rights thing within government organisations that they have to hire someone who works with the terrorists? :?

Can I ask exactly how someone told mad hacker woman and pensive grey haired dude that redhead was buried on a construction site? Jack never had any time surely?

Are you doubting Jack's abilities? How dare you?!

Or rather, I don't know

A mildly amusing take on 24 if it was set in 1994.

You think his interrogations would be as effective if he was like this?

Back on the 24th, apparently and appropriately.

I think this really has to be the last one with Keifer in.

How many times does one man have to say "no, I was fired/quit/retired"? :D

He could quote Pacino at some point.

If I remember correctly, he signed a contract a few years ago that would sign him til season 8. so unless things have changed, this is the last season he's contracted for.

Then we'll have season 9 with Freddie Michelle Gellar(as I heard him called elsewhere). :)

Surely he's far too pretty for the role?

I'm not saying Keifer was pretty, but remember when the first season started, how unweary he looked. He was a family man, happy enough and all. Then all the stuff happened and he's become world-weary and fed up with life in general.
