Every site should have a Doctor Who thread. So heres ours. Its my Number 1 show and i just know someone would start a topic on it. So i got there first.

So whos the best Doctor?

Bloody Man-Faye again! I swear, I keep expecting the General Election to be between Brown, Cameron, Clegg and Man-Faye. :x

Personally I'm not so enamoured with the current Doctor Who series, or the couple before it. Every now and then a great episode comes along to reel me back in, then we get shouty shouty, run run crap. :roll:

You know what, I'm voting McCoy. I liked him and he gets a lot of the stick for being the last before it closed down.

The Man-Faye option has been deleted. Please don't mention him in this board in the near future. (As stated in the rules.)

As for best doctor; I don't watch Doctor Who, but I did watch some of it when Chris Eccleston was the doctor, and he grabbed me by the nuts when he said the now famous line: "All planets have a 'North'!" :D

But anyway, Eccleston is a great actor and I do wish he had done more than one series. I certainly rate him above Tennant.

Tom Baker gets my vote, simply b/c he was the Doc when I was a kiddie and watched it.

Edit: Imho McCoy was one of the worst And if he chose his own wardrobe he needed damn well shootin'.

Tennant is a fantastic doctor, but for me I had to vote for Sylvester McCoy. He was the doctor I grew up with, so he is the one that I remember.

Thing is the first doctor I remember watching was Paul McGann and from what I hear he was one of the least favourites.
Funny this is here. I was watching the 50 Greatest tv Endings and Tom Baker's death was one of them.

The problem for the first two doctors is I don't think any here are old enough to remember them. Pertwee would have been first for me.

I think McGann isn't liked because many fans didn't like the movie either.

I enjoyed the movie. Also for the Peter Cushing movies, were they supposed to tie in with any of the series because I've also seen them.

But I think David Tennant wins it, because of his constant wide eyed kid type excitement about everything. And also how he can change to a bad ass so quickly.

Though maybe the other doctors were like that as well

The movie with McGann tied in as McCoy died in it. Although that was it. We never saw McGann to Eccleston.

The Cushing ones, I doubt they fit in anywhere. Just done for glory and money I expect.
