Last night, I watched the J-MELO music programme, and they had this singer chap on who has a Japanese father and a Swedish mother but was born and lives here in England.
He performed some songs in Japanese, but when the American-sounding presenters spoke to him. He spoke in English with a proper, middle-clarse Southern England accent. He was enunciating perfectly, speaking slowly and clearly, and every word could be understood.

I had to laugh, because I'm more English than him and what comes out of my mouth most of the time is unintelligible, fast Brummie that even the Japanese who can understand English wouldn't know what I was saying. :?

Don't know, but I was going to watch it last Saturday at 4:15 but then they had something about ancient maps on in its place.

Imagine-nation has reappeared at 11:30 tonight.

I also saw that Professional has done a program with Studio Ghibli, so that might be worth keeping an eye out for.

imagine-nation made it to a 2nd series.

To quote The Eagles, "this could be heaven or this could be hell"

More whispy male presenters and weird looking female presenters.

The bit on Akihabara was both interesting and scary. Unleash your geek side

Why the fuck did they actually think for just a single second that NHK would show anime. I knew many anime fans were fucking stupid and insufferable but this takes the delicious biscuit!

And to think one of them actually sent an e-mail to them! :el:

I'm not too fond of this new look NHK. I liked the old one with the newsreader speaking in Japanese and all the news points written in Japanese. As well as these little sounds, which were so so Japanese. But it's just that that's any different. The rest of the shows are all the same and they're still pretty interesting.

I never thought tatami mats could actually be interesting to learn about. :?

Let me just say this:

If everybody here who wasn't already a member of the A-UK-News forum joined that particular forum, by how many points would that forum's average IQ go up by? :?

I know it doesn't make any difference to most people.

I assume it could have been manually tuned anyway.

The ever incomprehensible Isabella and Bene were at the October MCM Expo reporting for imagine-nation.

I think I died a little bit inside whilst watching it.

Stuart Claw made an appearance and thanks to the gruesome twosome looked almost good.

My favourite moment was when one of the cosplayers looked at them with a combination of horror and disdain.

Not sure how legal this youtubage is but ho hum.

That was horrible to listen to, but interesting to watch. Gives an impression of what it's like and what's on offer.

I sometimes catch other conventions (latest I caught was Comiket 76) they are reporting about while flicking through channels.
