So is this going to be a special kind of stupid or not?

It does have all the tropes

So it's Over the Top with robot boxing instead of arm wrestling.

It's strange movie in the way that they spend the money on the effects for what is apparently a feel good movie.

Just saw the trailer for this yesterday on Youtube. First seemed a usual bland romcom movie, and then....!!! :wnw:

Wow! So the new X Men movie is meant to be actually pretty good. Don't know if that's good or bad for Matthew Vaughn. Good because that means he's made another good movie meaning more work. Bad because now the studios will always expect him to be able to make a blockbuster movie within just over a year.

I plan on seeing it anyway.

Finally watched the entire series of the cringe inducing The Inbetweeners that I've had on my backlog.

So now looking forward to seeing the film during the week. :)

I'm really looking forward to this. Thor an dCaptain America were the movies I had doubts about due to the risk of looking cheesy but they were brilliant. It's funny whenever there are pics released, people are always asking "Who's that?" about Mark Ruffalo. I wouldn't know him either.

Funny, I was the opposite. It was more like "What's Mark Ruffalo doing in a comic book movie?"

Looking at his work, I've seen Shutter Island, Collateral and Zodiac. Three films I remember but not in too great a detail. Same with his episode of Due South. :)
