Right Now Im listening to "Child Is The Father Of The Man (Alternate assembly mix)" By the Beach boys. It sounds very different from the "SMiLE" mix Its almost foreshadowing Wilson's Later Work (Rio Grande, That Lucky Old Sun Ect...)

Im listening to the new Daniel Johnston album ("Is and always was"). Its a been a bumpy ride so far,it ranges from brilliant pieces such as "Mind Movies" "Tears" and "Queenie The Doggie". To the bloody shambles that is "Fake Records Of Rock And Roll" and the poor rehash of "I Had Lost My Mind". I must say though "Light Of Day" is a definite contender for my favourite track of the year. and "Mind Movies" most definitely "in" for my favourite Daniel Johnston track. Id give it an 8 out of 10 Divine Interventions.

Same here...I actually got my first strike on my college radio show today for playing the album version of "Autobahn", a respectable 23 minutes later they were not pleased, nor the students too much.

(The six minute edition, my second track of the show )

Your show didn't happen to end with the 23 minute version of The Man Don't Give A Fuck by Super Furry Animals did it? Or Tubular Bells? Supper's Ready by Genesis?

 You've given me an idea with "Tubular Bells" considering I've just purchased the 2009 remastered deluxe box set edition it would be a shame to let it go to waste without my peer's hearing it :D

Surprisingly the radio co-ordinator came in half way through Donna Summers and said that she never wanted me to play autobahn again  so I finished up quickly with a couple of Daniel Johnston tracks and some Donovan to clear the air. ("Sunshine superman" and "There is a mountain" to be precise)

Foolishly switched to Absolute 80s on the way back from the engine machinists this lunchtime and they played:

Now I can't get it out of my head!! Brings back memories of top Gear Rally Report with Tony Mason. Ahh... Top Gear used to be so much better.
