I could listen to House of the Rising Sun repeatedly. Come to think of it, I have done that.

And Rammstein's Sonne with one very hot Snow White. :D

Some silly arse has commented on the House of the Rising Sun video, calling it emo... *No emoticon available/suitable.*

I was going to post some vids here. But I've forgotten them, hang on a second.

Got 'em:

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=X_aHlHc_Vb4 - Guillemots - Trains To Brazil
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8sJC0Sh5TbI - Millencolin - Kemp
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=fbAtMjCZtUU - The Fall Of Troy - F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X.

Bit of J-Rock for you here:

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=88slxSc5N8Q - The Mad Capsule Markets - Good Girl

Those are a few personal faves of mine. This one is a little older (aka '90's.)

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=s00Kgm-Kjic

And a couple from Major's favourite bassist, Les Claypool.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=kDf7Wk0uFBg - Primus - John The Fisherman
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=1CetPq_pkHc - Primus - Wynona's Big Brown Beaver

Had that and Raspberry Heaven on my MP3 player for a while to cheer me up after work.

Gorillaz is a good call. Love the Clint Eastwood song, especially with the video they did. Those were all good.

Need to mention California Dreaming by the Mamas and Papas. Just a lovely song.
Also A Whiter Shade of Pale is very... no idea what to call it, but it is very that.

Right, got to check these recommendations out.

Some more songs that cheer me up

Reel Big Fish - Beer

AFI - Days of the Pheonix

Relient K - Lion-O

Back-on - Butterfly

Journey - Don't Stop Believing (I love this song especially when amateur's sing it, but I HATE baseball cards)

Ah yeah! Millencolin. Got that song and video on tape, some years back I taped a bunch of songs off Kerrang. Really good that one. Enjoyed the Fall of Troy song too. My sort of thing, and hadn't heard it before.
Also Eagle Eyed Cherry. Cool. 8)

A couple of blasts from the past, and could go head to head:
Fight the Power by Public Enemy and Jump Around by House of Pain. I wasn't into that sort of music when young, but those two stood out.

There was also The Power by Snap, which is still great today. However I tend to prefer this version. Guess why.

That song became really big in Ireland about the time of the Sopranos finale. Was mad how it took off. Though think it started getting the air play before the finale. Maybe it was thanks to Family Guy.
