Manga Deals Online

#1 Post by Joy » Sun Jul 20, 2008 1:45 pm

This thread is here to find Manga Deals, basically I'm looking for Manga Deals Online, eBay has some good ones, and so does Amazon, in particular I'm looking for Bulk manga, say Narutó vol 1-12 or Love Hina 1-14 etc. Those kind of deals.

Does anybody know of any good CHEAP deals online? Orbital manga has become expensive these days

I wish Play had a proper category for Manga, all they do is mix them in with other graphic novels.

and usually when I check, they don't even list the volume number, you can only guess from the picture they provide...

I get all my manga from The Book Depository or through Amazon...I sometimes go to Borders, but they've ended their 2 for £10 sale, so meh...(volumes are like £6-7 in stores)

I usually use amazon myself, but they have a habit, not very often though, of fitting as much as they can into there smallest box and don't care if the cover or pages are bent or damaged

@Ryu Soma

I agree, I got Pokemon adventures Red Edition and vol of Death Note from Amazon, came in two separate packages and they were squashed inside, no room for air, bent, smushed etc, and death note also for some reason had a giant slit/cut in the middle ;l most likely from where they've opened a giant box full of death note vol 1's and accidentally cut the book on top, not amazon's fault but small packages are terrible >.<

Play has got to get a manga section, mixing with graph novels makes it hard >.<

Orbital Manga is expensive in the long run, but still cheaper than some places.

Two days ago, I got from eBay.

Vol 1-9 of D.N.Angel for like 20 pounds.
And 20 manga all volume 1's of different series.

so like vol 1 of DearS, vol 1 of 888 etc...
Got that for about 30 pounds.

All together with postage it was under 60 pounds.
Usually it'd cost like 150 for 29 manga. (If you go by 5 pound per manga)
Excellent condition books too, should arrive in the next day or so.

eBay has some nice deals, but you gotta watch out for bad condition manga.

I see Udon Entertainment are going to start putting their manga series up on Crunchyroll for free. Well that can't be bad news. :P

It's just not the same, reading online compared to real life, it's just not the same ^^
