No its not, Akira has been confirmed region free, although I've cancelled my order seeing as I didn't get a 1st pressing edition, I'm not forking out the same amount for less content.

Not just yet >.< Having to watch and see how work goes, it's been quiet the last couple of weeks.

It's not like I'd be buying Akira yet, the only price I've seen an almost list price dollar for pound price. That's a little steep.

It'll go on the ever expanding list, possible for the Expo.

Thought recognised the name but not what I was thinking of.

Does look good though. Lotta money!

It is.

I was interested in their 2 for £22, I'd get Appleseed Ex Machina as well. Only because Blade Runner isn't on offer at the moment

The lack of enthusiasm means that's a no then. Not paying £11 for a meh film even if it is Blu ray.

I'll keep looking.

Tekkonkinkreet, not bad. Great visuals, good sound and a so-so plot.

Ok not so much anime as animation, but its good animation.

Dead Space: Downfall.
Based on a game, which explains a lot about it. It is a basic story of find something in deep space, people go mad, then people get killed and turn into things and kill more people.

It is cool for what it is, nice gore, and a grim ending (which afterward I realised fitted with the start of the game).

Main thing I liked about this was the voice acting talent. A number of known and admired voice actors, such as Grey Delisle and Kevin Michael Richardson.
But there is also the bloke who did Minsc in Baldurs as the captain, and Holtz from Angel as the Doctor.
Plus Bruce Boxleitner. Pretty cool hearing Tron/Sheridan using the f word.

One downer is the main character is a foul-mouthed, headstrong action girl who just runs about and doesn't think, just hit anyone who disagrees.

I think I like the main charachter!

Anyways, I've been wanting to see that since I saw ads for it. Looks very cool, specially since I've played the game.

She is a red head, and cares too much, and annoying, so yes, you would.

If you've played the game think you'll get more out of it, but I didn't find it an issue not knowing anything about it.
