There seems to be more and more anime being made into live action in the west, and now a live action Cowboy Bebop film has been announced in that film producer Erwin Stoff is developing for Fox. The film is only in the very early stages, so not much info has been announced.

So what do you guys think, do you think its going to be a good or bad idea, and who do you think should be cast to play the characters.

Personally if its kept to the original concept I think this may turn out to be quite good, depending on s the script and the cast.

Theres probably going to be rediculous casting like the DB(Z) movie like dakota fanning as spike >.<

However its more workable then DB(Z)

I have to say, out of all the live action adaptions announced this one could probably work the best, IF they have a big enough budget.

However, judging from Dragonball.......keep away with a pointy stick.

But by saying 'staying faithful to the series' does that mean they're going to focus on Spike and Vicious? I think CB will hard when it comes to casting, as the characters have such concrete personallities....

Also, I can bet I'll want to strangle Ed's actress

Be interesting how they do Ed, a girlish boy or a boyish girl. American doesn't like gender bending.

For Spike you need someone who can do the movie with a grin, yet still persuade when the serious stuff kicks in.

What about Ein? Better be a welsh corgi or there'll be a riot!

Hell yes! I don't care how much of the budget they have to waste, it has to be a welsh corgi!

I'd kill myself if I had to put up with Paris Hilton....

We should contact the producer and ask him, if he says no....we shall kill him

As I mentioned on t'other AC, Keanu Reeves = tree.

Still, I can't really think of anyone who'd be able to pull off Spike convincingly. Pfft, just cast Christian Bale and be done with it. And then get Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Jet and we'll be well away. Sure, neither of them look like their respective characters but they both kick arse so it's fine.
