Right, TFL says the DLR IS running between canning town and customs house tomorrow. Good, no crap shuttle bus!

Back from the expo already, what a farce. I thought the last one was badly organised, this was worse. A letter of complaint will be in the post very soon.

This years haul:

Woah, £60 for all that :D.

Spice & Wolf; that's another I need to remember to order (I've got a post-it note stuck to my desk with a star and wolf scribble to remind me what to order next time ). He is my Master is another one I see a lot of, but no idea if it's worth bothering about.

I spy Strike Witches & To love ru.

The Durarara news from BEEZ is interesting. On one hand I want to buy the series since I enjoy it. But on the other hand I'm already paying my cr subscription which gives me a high quality 720p stream.
All the other news coming out I'm either not interested or have already imported. Well, Vampire Knight interests me, but I already knew it would make it's way over here eventually.

Any super secret insider info gathered or unreported news to share from the expo?

BT

I was rolling my eyes a bit. 8)

I might be tempted by Outlaw Star (from Beez), dunno if might just be nostalgia.

EDIT: Oh and the expo ticketing farce sucked balls.

A couple of messages about it on the expo forum. I'm drafting a letter to the people in charge.

What's the complaint about it anyway?

They'd modified the ticketing system without updating the website.

Quote:
If you purchase a 'Fast Track' entry ticket in advance you will gain entry to the event before those people who buy them on the day!

Although people buying the 'Early Entry' ticket on the day gain earlier entry than those buying General Entry tickets, prebooked ticket holders will always get priority!

Pre Booking does in all cases allow faster entry!

When you arrive at the London MCM Expo you will NOT be required to check in, you simply join the CORRECT line which will be marked 'PRE PURCHASED EARLY ENTRY', your ticket will need to be presented as you enter the event.

Re-entry during the event hours will require your ticket stub and a hand stamp. If you cannot produce BOTH the ticket stub and the hand stamp together you will be required to purchase another entry ticket, there will be no exceptions.

Whereas you were required to queue to get to the ticketing hall, then queue to get a wristband, then queue to get out of the ticketing hall and finally queue to get into the expo hall. Most of this was done by guesswork and asking stewards because there weren't signs stating that they'd completely reworked the system.

Previously those with advanced tickets went straight to the expo hall, got a hand stamp and went in.

And don't forget having to walk back and forth around the ticket hall 8 or so times even though the queue was short enough to go direct.
