Ponyo to get a wide cinema release in the UK

The dub is pretty good, don't let it put you off seeing this film at the cinema! I've heard much worse.

The only thing they they changed is what Risa/Lisa said using the signal lamp, in the dub its 'bug off' whereas the original is 'jerk'.

And Liam Neeson isn't the worlds best VA.

Are you saying you know the morse for Baka?

The subs said jerk, they said baka.

If you do have to see it subbed and can get to London, the Curzon Soho are showing it.

Bugger! Ponyo didn't make the top 10.

Still the total takings so far make pretty good reading.

It wasn't far off!

There is a generation of adults who know what Astro Boy is so they will take their kids.

I suppose this wasn't too bad.

Japanese animation Ponyo also underperformed, but with £155,000 from 221 cinemas its result is a whole lot better than Battle for Terra's.
