See the writers mentioned. While Children of Men is really cool, based on a really good book (I heard), do think hell of a lot goes to the director's portrayal.
As for Iron Man, RDJ really won me over in that, but the story itself is very basic hero stuff and didn't do much for me.

So remaining unconvinced.

Still setting it in Neo Manhattan. I can't remember but is it gonna be a Japanese cast or are they going with Americans?

Anyone up for a nice family friendly Akira?

Quote:
Talking about the English-language, live-action remake of classic 1988 anime feature "Akira", director Albert Hughes ("From Hell," "The Book of Eli") says Warner Bros. Pictures wants the film to have a PG-13 rating and he's not sure if he'll be around to do a sequel.

As far as I know, the plan is to adapt the mangas into a trilogy

Ah right. Well if going to do it at all, that would make the most sense. I guess.

When you think of all the actors who could play Kaneda, there is only one person who could possibly fill such a iconic role in the live action movie, and that person is... Zac Efron. :|

Crisis averted.
I'm guessing we won't exactly get this in time for next summer anyway.

That's a relief, although still worried about how it will turn out. Ah well.
