Yes I was eyeing up Rei, as always, but I've seen Eva enough times not to be too confused :)

2 of 5? I thought it was 4?

Yeah, my 1st thought was "Oo it's the film version" then "WTF, is this a dubbed" version and then "WTF is Kagi saying?" >.<

She seemed alright, it was nice not to have yet another emo. Although she'll probably reveal her angsty side in the next film :D

 That summed up my thoughts on the start of 2.0 exactly.

I suppose you're right about Mari. I was just thinking that there's no reason why a established character couldn't do what she does. Then again people would be complaining of character derailment. The way things finished, I'd guess everyone is going to reveal their angsty side in the next one.

Interesting to see you heard there's gona be 5 films. Andrew Partridge said the original plan for the remakes was for 3 films, before the Dublin screening.

It was the euro branch, of course they would be speaking something other than Japanese ;)

As for the glasses moe girl.... it seems to me to be more of a writers convenience. Solves some 'issues' with the changes they've made.

Just got back from Summer Wars and Dante's Inferno. Summer Wars was good, not as good as the girl who leapt IMO but still good. A bit of Paprika mixed in there. Inferno was a bit poor, sort of a cross between Heavy Metal and Aeon Flux in places. Good if you like lots of blood.

New film added at the Barbican showings, but it's not until Sept and it's the Eureka 7 movie, so meh.
