Sure since when did they worry bout the actors looking like the characters? Keanu was the English Blond comic character John Constantine and was just reading about Prince of Persia starring the very Persian looking Jake Gyllenhaal and Ben Kingsley.

Christian Bale - the man for every her role around at the moment.

Well as we all know, Hoffman has never made a bad movie. Oh wait (yes, I miss Mayo and Kermode)

I hope people aren't expecting any backstory for the characters to be included.
Remember, this is being made for mindless cinema-goers who will never have heard of the Anime, not for the fans. It's likely that many of the main protagonists from Bebop won't even be in the movie.

Unfortunately, this will be a film LOOSELY based off some aspects from the series, not one that'll be faithful to it.

Wasn't the first thing they said was they want to make it as faithful to the anime as possible?

Think since Ed has to look like a boy would swap Lindsay and Paris around. :) Or even have Keira Knightly playing Ed :P

O_O Keira Knightly as Ed? She's not young enough or crazy enough. But she certainly fits the boyish girl category.

Having had a thought whilst reading through this thread, i will put forward Ron Pearlman as my choice for Jet and Ewan McGregor as Spike.

I have entirly failed to think of anyone to play Faye or Ed. Although Uma Thurman might be a plausable choice for Feye (i'm thinking a Pulp Fiction look here).

What would be good is if during the film the VAs from the anime have a cameo apperance.

Ron Pearlman & Ewan McGregor don't look right
and for Uma Thurman i hope not, she doesn't look right either(i never thought she was that attractive)

they really shouldn't use any "A class acters" cause that would probally over way the film

Not related to the movie but just had to point out that tv.com has listed their top 15 opening credits and ranked Cowboy Bebop at 14.
