Well that explains the never ending delays on 5cm..... :el:

So, who is going to pick up 5cm? This really is playing right into the hands of the fansubbers.

The only new title they have left is Kiba. :?

They'll just keep releasing thinpacks of old favourites, Nadesico, Noir, Evangelion, Excel Saga etc. Hoepfully they will release a New Kaleido Star thinpack, complete with extras, if so it will be mine.

They've renewed Nadesico then?

That was going out of license at one point I thought.

They released a new thinpack of Nadesico a couple of months back (the EA version with commentaries and removed overlays) so they still have the license for the moment. I was debating on buying it, but seeing as I already own the series (I don't mind the overlayed version) and that the Japanese got a remaster last year, I just don't see the point of double dipping for it.

The UK licence has expired, but I believe they renewed the US one.

Another ADV related update of their out of prints. Turns out they screwed up Best Student Council was added to the list but but the single volumes are still available and the box set is still scheduled for release. Sadly no change for 5cm/second :(

I have undeniable proof:

That's the banner that was at the ADV stand in the Dealer's room at Amecon.

Well it took a lot longer than we thought but ADV is dead.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-09-01/adv-films-shuts-down-transfers-assets-to-other-companies

Well the name is and reading some of the notes, the dealings look a little shady. :shifty: Or shall we say interesting.

It was curtains when most of their good licenses were revoked. This is just the final red tape to wrap up ADV. Shame as I did like the old swoopy ADV intro.
