Crucifer's gonna be around even less for a few weeks...

Because this December, I'm going to get lots of money to go and sing at some Japanese people! :D Anyone with experience of being in Japan in December? What should I pack? How do I say 'please don't kill me with wheat? Oh, and where do you keep the catgirls?'? (Fancy punctuation ftw) Will all the Japanese Ridebag Females throw their underwear at me because I'm tall, slender, ginger and pale? Anyone want a souvenir?

STRAP ME ON! :D

Well that's disturbing. ;)

I'm beginning to think the whole world will have been before I ever make it.

Have fun!

I'm sure I'll be the last, if I ever go.

Sounds good fun though. Hopefully Shogran won't have left too bad a reputation for other Brits/Irish to go.

I'm going with this lot, who are HUGE over there, so I think we'll be fine on that front. (Yes, they really do dress like that on stage)

My biggest worry is that the food will kill me... I'm coeliac, so I'm on a fairly restrictive diet (no soy sauce. :S ) and apparently they don't really do much about it over there...

You'll have to learn how to ask for "just plain rice", or take a bottle of that gluten free soy sauce stuff they do. Sushi and sashimi should be fine too.

I also had my eye on Donburi. Cheap, simple and choose the right one and it's gluten-free.

I can barely tell you which cities we were in... We checked into one hotel at 12 midnight after a 4 hours bus drive from Sasebo, and checked out again at 7 am, for a 4 hours bus drive to somewhere else...

The food was amazing, but my body could only handle fish and rice, 3 meals a day, for so long... I saw a pikachu plane, and a cosplaycon in Kyoto. The thing I miss the most is 24 hour alcohol vending machines...

So the place managed to live up to expectations despite most of the views being from a coach window.

How to spot the Irish man in Japan. Not the pale skin or red hair. He's the one taking advantage of the 24 hour aspect of the beer vending machines.

He broke after only a few hours of brainwashing!!!

@kodama: yep!

@CastorTroy81: What else were we supposed to do on a 4 hour bus journey? :p

There was this great lemon and shochu (think poitin) stuff that was 9% and came in 500ml cans...

How were you in any fit state to perform or was there a lot of gravelly singing?
