Now that it's starting to break big, what does everyone think?

Never used it. I'd say my life is to boring for it. :?
Why yes, I am bored. How could you tell?

That doesn't seem to stop most people.

That said, so far I've spotted Jonathan Ross, Stephen Fry, Philip Scofield, Chris Moyles, Ian Lee, Robert Llweyn and a couple of others just by idling browsing. So it's good for stalking

I had heard that Stephen Fry and Jonathan Ross were on there. Apparently Ross' posts are quite funny.

I find updating my status on Facebook difficult. Trying to find something interesting to put is hard as I'm not interesting.

Another pointless "social" networking "fad". I've never used these types of "services" before, and I don't plan on doing it anytime soon. :thumbdown

In fact I don't even use a mobile phone - or the landline for that matter :shifty: .

Is "Welcome to the NHK" more of a template to live your life by than a warning?

Someone must've paid a lot to get twitter all this press. I thought it'd been around donkeys years but now the mainstream press are getting all giggly about it for some reason.

Honestly, if it started getting around that venereal disease was popular people would queue round the street to contract it.

I'm on bebo and facebook, but only because it gives me something extra to look at at work to pass a few minutes. Very rarely use them. Social is not a word I'm usually associated with.

Hehe. All this social networking stuff just moves too fast for me. I only got a Myspace in the week that the press decided that facebook was the new cool thing to do. And now I've got a facebook account I only really update it just so I can list what books I've read or fart about with the applications, as Mr CastorT says, when I'm bored at work.

Twitter just seems to be a list of inane conversations to me:

I got a hat!
@Hatman45 That's a really good hat!

I do believe I used to have a Myspace. Still do probably although it hasn't been updated in so long that in some respects it would probably be a well preserved museum to myself 3-4 years ago.

I have a Facey B (As all the 'cool kids' are said to call it. Or just myself...) which I very rarely use as well. Much to the chagrin of most of my friends who seem addicted and nigh on eternally on the bloody thing. Even when I am on I usually refuse to have public conversations opting for messages instead.

I do agree with Howard however and his oh so condensed version of his thoughts on Twitter this morn. You should have been around for the full tirade.

Ha, I'm glad to see that I'm still the most miserable bugger! No facebook, bebo or myspace.

Ah, not if you count BT's 'no mobile phones/phones in general' rule!

I'm afraid if we're going by that, unless you can match or top that you are still far too caring and connected to the world, my dear Kodama.

I think being a regular poster on this board kind of invalidates the anti social-website argument.
