I know I'm a little late here but I think this thread could be good. This is also my first thread in this forum.

So since it's Thanksgiving in the US (just) I wanted to know what everyone is thankful for. Forget friends and family, everyone is thankful for that I want to know about the other stuff people don't really mention (make it funny if you like).

I'll start.

I'm thankful for google as without it I'd be completly lost in the internet.
I'm thankful for icanhazcheezburger.com and other lolcats for the hundreds of smiles they've given me.
I'm thankful for online forums for giving me a little bit of social connection with the rest of the world.
I'm thankful for chocolate spread, the simple food which lifts spirits.
I'm thankful for Forth one. The best radio station ever, which stops me falling asleep on my way to college.
I'm thankful for mochas that wake me up in the morning.

So lets hear it.

I'm thankful that we in the UK won't have to eat any turkey for another 28 days. *shudders at the thought of cold turkey sandwiches twice in a month*

I am thankful for the fact I am still working hard at university and haven't given up throughout my time there.

How could I possibly forget! O.O

I'm extreamly thankful for the one and only brand of migraine tablets which work for me (most of the time) without them my life would be ruled by migraines (been there and it's not nice).

Tenshi as a fellow migraine sufferer I feel your pain and I am also thankful for the ones that work for me too.

I'm not thankful for anything. It would just go against my nature as a complete and total git.

I'm thankful for the fact that Cousin W in India has had no business in Mumbai recently, and is safe in Bangalore.

I'm thankful for being able to go home tomorrow.

I'm thankful for doctors who are supportive and calming whilst I deal with the rare genetic disease I've been diagnosed with.

I'm thankful for web cams, microphones, and g-mail.

I'm thankful for the fact that I have a strong soul and am still alive.

I'm thankful for hot baths, without which I may have given into the stress many moons ago.

I'm thankful for on-line families, who may be dysfunctional, but give me support when I'm not getting it elsewhere.

I'm thankful for books, without which I KNOW I would have given up dealing with the real world.

I'm thankful for art, that gives my mind inspiration where nothing else can.

I'm thankful for writing, which allows me to express all the emotions I usually keep locked inside.

And most of all:

I'm thankful for the opportunity to have my life, which is now starting to come together, since I found A.C. ...for many reasons.

A few different things like: the internet, coffee, books, etc... but mostly I'm thankful for the existence of music.

I really feel that music is one few things in my life that keeps me sane. Be it the beauty in the distorted strums of the My Bloody Valentine song Sometimes, the drum roll and split second of scilence, just before the rest band breaks in Fleeting Joys The Good King of Tomorrow, the stunning piano of Comptine d'un autre été from Amélie, to the pure rage in I’ll Never Forget You by Hüsker Dü or most of the Minor Threat discography (which acts as a sort of scream therapy).
