of all the sad news to come out of the credit crash. the fact that woolworths is going bust must be the stagiest i think.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thereporters/robertpeston/2008/11/woolworth_into_administration.html

i remember going to woollies as a kid for toys, pick and mix, videos, stuff like that. but i not shopped there in years, it just was not a shop with any thing i wanted any more.

but it sad to see it go in some ways.

No!
I geniunely wasn't. Long story, but in essence I daftly looked after something given to me, that I thought was paid for. It got sorted out in the end.

Fucking Red Nose for Comic Relief too. Never bought one since.

Taken that they will be open until after Xmas, there should be some bargains to be had.

It may well be worth checking out their DVD section once or twice.

Did you pay a deposit and have they got your name on the goods? If so you might get it.

Did you know that you only had to pay a bit on CC to get the protection for the full amount.

I was amazed to discover that.

So apparently the Closing Down sale starts today. Though was in it on Monday and just 10% off games and dvds. Don't think there were any consoles left. Whether the prices for dvds and games have dropped more today, I don't know.

Wonder if discounts on sweets

I heard that some customers were giving the staff a hard time because some items weren't reduced enough.

If I'd been in the CSR's shoes I would've told 'em to take their pick and mix and fuck off somewhere else. Christ, these people are losing their jobs; give them a break, eh?
