Quoted from YOUR link.

Since 'photos' is short for 'photographs' then you're missing the 'graph'.

Don't give me the :el: I'm not a idiot, I'm making a valid point!

I actually don't care anymore.

Why does it matter anyway? Language is constantly evolving and rules are often changing. So it doesn't matter.

ALSO: I am NOT a sport! Image

Excellent!

Tenshi, the abbreviation is "photo" for "photograph". One never abbreviates a plural. So, the abbreviation, when pluralised, becomes "photos", and as it's a plural "s" not a possessive "s", it doesn't get an apostroph'e.

Howard: I had to look elision up, you smart arse bastard!

shogran:Now you've gone and proved my point.

Lazy bastard, if you know how to get it completely wrong then you know how to get it right.

Tenshi: Aw, here's a kitten.

Thank you! That's what I wanted! An explaination (I thought that might have been the reason). Not a :el: I really felt like Kodama was calling me stupid.

Ohhh a Kitten. :cat:

I'll forgive you this time Kodama. Since the subject is obviously one you are passionate about.

I try my very best to make sense and use proper grammar and punctuation as much as possible. Especially on forums and in emails or PMs. However, I know there are a lot of people who take the use of apostrophes too far. It's great to like the English language but, not everyone is as passionate as other people are.

I was quite offended when a friend of mine directed my attention to the misuse of apostrophes because I joking put apostrophes into every word I had written. Some people take English too seriously. I got good English grades so I am not worrying too much because as Tenshi has said language evolves through time and no doubt it will evolve for the worse and text speak or something else will take over... *shudders* American English... Ew!

Not all Americans have bad grammar and terrible use of the English language. *cough* I'm American. *cough*

I happen to think grammar is very important, sometimes my grammar isn't top notch so I appreciate the input of others.
