Famous people in the real world

#1 Post by kodama » Tue Jul 01, 2008 9:28 pm

I saw Gemma Humphries on the train today, so I thought why not find out who you seen and where.

She's even more tiny than she looks on tv

Image

She had a right face on too :D

You'll only know who she is, if you watch Meridian regional weather

Onto more famous people, on the same train to London, I've also seen Ian Hislop and Tom Baker (well more heard Tom, he's very loud all the time!)

Even more incongruously, I've seen Bob Mortimer in my local town.

So go on then you lot, the more ordinary the situation, the better

EDIT: Proofreading was somewhat lacking. STILL! stray comma ><

Goin back a few years now, I saw the guy that plays Ian Beale in *spit*. A load of us were sat in Burger King in St Albans at the time, and he was in a play that was on in the city.

Adam Woodyatt? Dunno, don't watch the tripe, we all took the piss out of him naturally

You missed the extra 'to' in your first line, Mr K.

I had my photo taken with England scrum half and later coach (of clubs) Richard Hill. I was 13 I think and I was already as tall as him!

My mum has met a bunch. She knew Dick King Smith, the author, a while back, and she knew wasshisface - the bloke who played Bernard in Yes Minister and later was in Heartbeat.

That's him, and it was and still is. Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister are among my all time favourites. Great social and political commentary without the preaching.

Oh yeah, I went to see a pantomine when a kid and Cannon and Ball and some other 'famous' people were in it.
'You stupid person!'

Met Hot Hot Heat at Leeds Festival

I never remember the casual meetings.

Start with bands me thinks i've met New Found Glory and Paramore (last year official meet and greet thing), i've met Inme, Wheatus, AFI (twice :D ), a couple of the guys from Dragonforce, Bruce Dickinson, Blink 182, The guys from the Futureheads a few times, I went to the same school as Barry Hyde he was in the year above me, and often saw them around town.

Most others i've met is mainly retired footballers, Peter Reid, Alan Shearer, Niall Quinn. I met a few at the Northern Masters football event last year but there names pass me.
