He was a professional footballer, played for a few different cluds and played at the highest level, played for the English national side he was one of the England players left behind by Diego Maradona as he burst from inside his own half to score his second goal after the'hand of god'. He was also a manager aswell, managed my hometown club in the premiership to a top half finish. Thats who he be

Meh, football.

That'd be like me talking about Petter Solberg or Micheal Park (RIP)

I went to the same secondary school as the two lads who play Fred & George Weasley in the Harry Potter films.

I used to spot them around school from time to time. But once, I was taking my wallet, which has the Aston Villa badge on it, out of my pocket for some reason. And one of them, who is also an Aston Villa fan, said to me "Nice wallet, mate." I just replied "Cheers."

Another one, not as big as that one above, but it's still good.

Again at school, I was watching some older lads play football. One of them was really good and stood out. A nearby teacher said that he was actually being scouted by Everton.

A year later; that same lad made his debut for Everton against Crystal Palace, and scored in that match. This made him not only Everton's youngest goalscorer (surpassing Wayne Rooney), but the youngest goalscorer in the Premier League.

What club might that be? I'm guessing Sunderland...

I've met Santa on countless occasions. Other than that, nope.

My older brother has met quite a lot of people though...he was the 'Gay for Billy' guy at Good Charlotte's latest gig in Brixton, he's had a piss with the guitarist from INME (always forgetting the name...).

My mum used to work for EMI records, so she's met a lot of people, and even recently has had friendly chats with them after gigs.

I've been in a famous car though....you know that green car from Die Another Day? I dented the door!

Well I've seen the legend that is Paul McGrath in a restaurant/bar in town once and I met Carlos Sainz back in '98, that was when I won a prize to meet him and co-drive is his car around Mondello Park.

Paul McGrath is a Republic of Ireland and (correct me if I'm wrong Roostophe) Aston Villa legend. Probably the best defender Ireland has ever produced.

Nabeshin: You're so very correct. The Villa fans rate Paul McGrath as Villa's greatest ever player, and call him "God". (In fact, the Villa shirt I'm wearing now has his name and number on the back.)

COINCIDENCE: According to the Villa website, it was on this day in 1989 that McGrath joined Villa.

I've met Mickey Rooney as well as Howie Long...though Howie Long was big in American football, you lot have probably not heard of him.

Mickey Rooney was interesting though, he was shorter then I thought he would be...but he was just the most sweet and darling little man.
